Based on my personal experience, I strongly believe so. Here's a short story to illustrate my point. When I had an exam for one week, I took nearly two weeks off from the gym. I was initially concerned that my muscles and lifting power would decrease, but I was completely mistaken. When I returned to the gym after two weeks, I found that I could lift heavier weights compared to before the break. However, it doesn't mean that I doubled the amount of weight I lifted. Rather, it felt easier than before. After conducting some research and learning more about it, I discovered that this improvement was due to the rest I gave my body during the two-week break. It allowed my body to fully recover, and when I resumed weightlifting after two weeks, my body was able to work at its full potential. In summary, taking a one- or two-week break is excellent for your body.
